The AIDA formula in traditional marketing can be applied in e-matketing. For newbies to marketing, AIDA means:

A- Attention
I- Interest
D- Desire
A- Action

The first step in marketing is to attract attention of potential customers. Translating to e-matketing, you need to design eye catching webpages to attract attention of online visitors. You might also need to add some but not too much multimedia elements to the webpages.

Once you can attract their attention, they will be interested to browse more of the contents of your website particularly the products pages.
